I just like to say whether I enjoyed a movie or gave a damb bout the characters. I’m not the one to tell you about lighting and cinematography and audio and all those technical things. He OWNED that character so much that it’s hard to see him as anything else. Once you watch one HP movie and see him, you SEE Harry. Which is why he’s trying to take roles that are opposite of anything Harry Potter was. LEMME FIND OUT HE WANNA GET SEGZY! Owwwwww!!!ĭan Radcliffe played Harry like he was born to do it (which he prolly was). Rupert Grint got FAHN!!! That ginger there is all swole now and mannish. I give major props to Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Those three on screen together is so natural now and they ARE those characters to a tee.

Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley have carried this series on their backs and this last film was just the stamp. Last, but certainly not least, was the acting of THE TRIO. He certainly came into his own in this film. And I can’t say how dope it is to see Neville come through in the clutch. He was basically Harry Potter’s opposite in most ways (and interestingly, he coulda BEEN “The One Who Lived” since he was the other kid born July 31st). That character evolved so much in the series. When he held HER (I won’t tell you who) on that floor? WHY MUST I CRY?Īnd shoutout to Michael Lewis, aka Neville Longbottom. LAWDDDDDD!!! This is where I might have shed a tear. His final scene in this movie made me all verklempt too. There couldn’t have been a better Snape for this series. He’s what happens if Keanu Reeves learned to actually act. He EMOTES like no other, with barely a change of expression. For someone who barely moves his lips when he speaks, the man can get some things across. When she and the other staff members were creating charms to shield the school, I actually went “YESSSSSSSSS.” That ish was sooo cool!Īlan Rickman as Snape in this movie gave his best performance yet. She ain’t give NO dambs and showed how gangsta she was when she tried to protect Hogwarts. And I loved how bad ass Professor McGonagall was. Screaming students, Voldemort’s voice booming through the castle, spells being cast. How that chaos came to life on camera was so impressive. The battle at Hogwarts was amazing to watch. First was the one in the Gringott vaults, then the one at Hogwarts, which was just EPIC. One great part of the film was the major battle scenes. And of course my thug pretty much got dropkicked through the goalposts of life. DOOOOBBBYYYY!!!! * wall slides*Įnnehweighs doe…That film had me breathing in spurts of air from the opening credits until they rolled. Sidenote: When Dobby died in film 7.1, iSweafoLawd my thug was in the fetal position under my theater seat (kinda like Voldie in the Hallows). The first scene was Dobby’s tombstone (only spoiler I’ma give). He was basically like “the fact that you’re here means you already know where we left off.” And he was right. In fact, the director ain’t e’em try to recap anything from the last movie. The moment the movie began, I was at the edge of my seat. Listen… that movie was EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED!!!! *kicks down chair* Rowling’s attempt to ruin my childhood!īook 7 was the final but BEST one out the WHOLE DOGGONE SERIES!!! And the FINAL movie, 7.2 followed suit. 8 hours, 800 pages, countless wall slides and one missing thug later, I was done with J.K. I then went home and begrudgingly went to sleep to prepare myself for the epic reading session I was about to engage in. When the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book 7) came out, I had a copy already reserved at Borders, and picked mine up at 2am after the lines died down. I’m one of those nerds who spent hours reading analyses of the books, characters, names and all that on. I’ve read the Harry Potter books at least twice, and own them all in hardbacks. You can read this in peace even if you haven’t watched the film or read the last book yet. Before I start, know that I won’t give away any real Harry Potter spoilers, and definitely not telling y’all details of the final battle.
